InnovateHER KC has announced Women’s Empowerment Week (WEW), taking place October 21st through October 25th, 2019.
WEW 2019 is a weeklong series of events intended to inspire, inform and activate women leaders and allies in the Kansas City community. Events such as InnovateHER KC Launches, the Girls Just Wanna Have FUNding Pitch Showcase, and women In Leadership: Igniting Change Through Impact will connect female and female-identifying leaders in business, funding, the arts and the community at large.
Lauren Conaway, founder of InnovateHER KC says, “Women’s Empowerment Week is meant to inspire and bring together the incredible female leaders in KC across a broad range of industries and sectors, from entrepreneurship to the arts, to education and civic leadership. Silos no longer serve and this week is an opportunity to break down walls and help create a connected ecosystem of women leaders in Kansas City.”
Throughout the week, event attendees will have access to powerhouse speakers, panelists and lecturers ranging from Mayor Quinton Lucas, Aaron Fulk, Debby Ballard, Deanna Munoz, Dr. Anna Grodzinsky and Rachael Qualls on a myriad of topics across women’s leadership, health and collective action.
