One of the outcomes from the Kauffman ESHIP Summits from 2017 – 2020 was a set of goals and initiatives that, if accomplished, could help to advance and professionalize the field of ecosystem building. The ESHIP goals were intended to ‘serve as the foundation for our collective action and development of the professional field.’
Though official work on the ESHIP goal initiatives has ended, some grass roots ecosystem builders continue to pursue the efforts and build on the progress that was achieved between 2018 and 2020.
One of the initiatives, Goal/Initiative 1.2, proposed to ‘Create a diverse and inclusive database of speakers from across the ecosystem building field.’ Former ESHIP champion Norris Krueger is rallying the field to continue building an Ecosystem Builder Speaking/Consulting Directory and also re-establishing regular virtual meetings that feature guest speakers in informal peer learning events.
If the idea intrigues you, Krueger is looking for input from the ecosystem building community to help identify the ‘many hidden gems in ESHIP/EBLP Nation’ as he puts it. “We are already preparing to reboot these but we could use your help,” said Krueger.
Krueger has set up two Google polls to collect input from fellow ecosystem builders and invites the field to contribute.

Honored to do this! We really want to find our “hidden gem” ecosystem builders – so when people are looking for speakers (and consulting!) on a specific topic or in their local community… we can help them!
